Amman: An official military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) reported that the Southern Military Zone, in collaboration with military security bodies and the Anti-Narcotic Department, successfully thwarted a drone smuggling attempt on Friday morning on its western frontier.

According to Jordan News Agency, the source stated that the border guard personnel in the southern military sector, after closely monitoring and tracking the drone, engaged following the rules of engagement. The drone’s cargo was jettisoned into Jordanian territory, and the confiscated items were handed over to the appropriate authorities.

The source further highlighted that the JAF continues to employ all available resources to prevent smuggling and infiltration, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
