Amidst a welcome from the town’s notables and figures, “Jerusalem Electricity” opens the Jabal Al-Mukabber substation with a capacity of 7.5 megabytes

Popular activities and notables of the town of Jabal Mukaber in the city of Jerusalem received a delegation from the Jerusalem Governorate Electricity Company, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager, Engineer Hisham, the Deputy General Manager, Engineer Muhammad Zidan, the director of the company’s technical department, Engineer Salah Alqam, public relations, and the directors of the technical and administrative departments in the branch. The company in Jerusalem and members of the company’s board of directors, during the opening of a new electricity conversion station in the town of Jabal Mukaber.

The Jerusalem company opened the Jabal Mukaber station, which received a new connection point with a capacity of 7.5 megabytes.

This station aims to increase the switching capacity in the region on high-voltage networks to accommodate the growing loads in the region and to confront the peak loads expected in the coming winter and summer.

The opening of the station represents an important step in providing services to the areas of Jabal al-Mukaber, Silwan, al-Thawri, al-Sal’ah, Wadi Qaddum, al-Suwaih, and parts of Ras al-Amoud.

The station also aims to ensure the continuity of supplying the region with electrical current, especially in the event of malfunctions and emergency works, and to improve the quality of service provided to subscribers.

The cost of establishing and operating the station amounted to more than 2.5 million shekels, as it is considered one of the important achievements within the company’s strategic plan, and work on it in terms of planning, licensing and implementation has continued for more than three years despite all the obstacles
