Al-Burhan Vows to Deliver a Militia-Free Sudan to Its People.

Omdurman: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has declared the commitment of the armed forces to fight for Sudan’s sovereignty without external influence or political motivations. He emphasized that the military’s actions are solely for the benefit of the nation, dismissing claims of politically motivated engagements or affiliations beyond national interests.

According to Sudan News Agency, General Al-Burhan made these remarks during a visit to military units in Omdurman. Accompanied by TSC member and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, General Yassir Al-Atta, as well as other military leaders, he reiterated the armed forces’ determination to rid Sudan of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, labeling them as terrorists. Al-Burhan assured the Sudanese people of a future free from the militia and its supporters.

General Al-Burhan stated that the armed forces are collaborating with other regular forces, joint forces, m
obilized forces, and the popular resistance to unite against the rebellion. He urged skeptics of national unity to participate in efforts to secure peace and stability rather than spreading rumors, affirming the certainty of victory with the words, “Allah is with us, and we will always meet on the front lines.”

During his tour in Omdurman, General Al-Burhan received a warm reception from the public. Crowds gathered to welcome his convoy, expressing their support for the armed forces’ efforts to defeat the RSF militia. The public’s response underscored their backing of the military’s campaign, which they view as a battle for dignity and pride.
