Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, emphasized in a phone call with President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, the interlinked security and stability between Sudan and South Sudan.
According to Sudan News Agency, during the call, both leaders reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to support and enhance them, alongside discussing issues of joint interest. The TSC President was informed about the overall situation in South Sudan following recent events, stressing the Sudanese government’s commitment to sustaining security and stability in South Sudan.
President Al-Burhan highlighted that stability and security in South Sudan have a positive impact on Sudan’s overall situation. He reiterated, “The security and stability of Sudan is an integral part of the security and stability of the State of South Sudan.”
On his part, President Salva Kiir Mayardit expressed gratitude to the TSC President, emphasizing his commitment to bolstering joint cooperation between the two nations. He affirmed the Government of South Sudan’s dedication to establishing security and stability and restoring the security situation to normalcy in his country.
