Riyadh: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan addressed the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, emphasizing the resilience and strength of the Sudanese people amidst ongoing challenges. Al-Burhan highlighted the actions of the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, accusing them of attempting to undermine the Sudanese state and cause suffering to its people. He compared their actions to those of the Israeli occupation in Gaza and Lebanon, asserting that such practices are a direct affront to international humanitarian laws and norms.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Burhan expressed his gratitude towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its increasing role in addressing Arab, Islamic, and broader humanitarian issues.
