Al-Aiser: The official government spokesman, Minister of Culture and Information, Khalid Al-Aiser, praised the decision of the Security and Defense Council to declare the United Arab Emirates (UAE) an Aggressor state and sever relations with it. He explained that the decision fulfilled the aspirations of the Sudanese people to preserve their dignity and confront the aggression.
According to Sudan News Agency, in an interview with the National Television following the Security and Defense Council meeting on Tuesday, Al-Aiser said that the decisions issued were taken unanimously, stressing that the council members were in complete agreement on these steps and that all state leaderships were in complete agreement on this matter.
The Minister revealed the possibility of taking further escalatory steps in the coming period, saying, “We may take more severe measures in the future.”
Al-Aiser addressed that the crimes and violations committed by the Janjaweed militia with direct support from the UAE, stating that it provides the militia with weapons that kill Sudanese and destroy their infrastructure.
He condemned the UAE’s deployment of mercenaries from around the world, who are working to change the country’s identity and commit the most horrific crimes.
The official government spokesman said that with these steps, the government is responding to the demands of the people, confirming that the government is pained by the people’s suffering. He noted that it has been taking into account the historical considerations and relations between the two peoples throughout the past period. However, the UAE has not taken this into account, as if it were acting under an external order, which is why these steps were taken.
The Minister of Culture and Information indicated that talk of an Emirati embassy in Portsudan is a fabrication, stressing that there has been no Emirati diplomatic activity in Sudan since the infamous incident of the Emirati ambassador sneaking into Portsudan nearly a year and a half ago.
The Minister also denied that Sky News Arabia operates in Sudan, affirming that it has been suspended for more than a year and a half. He noted that all of this talk comes within the context of deliberate misinformation practiced by disinformation networks. He warned, “People should not be led by misinformation in service of the militia’s project.”
Al-Aiser also pointed out that the government, during the past period, had only maintained a limited diplomatic presence in the UAE to carry out consular work for its citizens there.
Al-Aiser disclosed that millions of dollars are being spent by the UAE in media networks that serve the militia’s agenda, citing reports from Facebook and its measures to ban a large number of platforms operating within paid networks. The minister lamented, “Some of our people have gone astray and been swept along by this plot,” describing them as lacking a shred of patriotism as they watch their homeland being bombed by drones.
Al-Aiser underscored that the government was determined to confront this aggression with all its might, noting that the armed forces and all supporting forces, with all their names and the people behind them, are united.
He said that he witnessed the attacks on Portsudan on the ground, noting that the position of national institutions and their response to the targeting of gas and fuel depots and vital infrastructure was intrepidus, and that the men were meters away from the fire, fighting it.
The government spokesman announced further measures and procedures that will be taken in the coming period to regulate media coverage of events in Sudan, particularly those related to military activity and field operations.
Al-Aiser saluted the sacrifices of El-Fashir in particular and Darfur in general, saying, “We will not rest until we lift the siege on every part of Sudan, and we will continue the war of dignity to the end.”
The Government Spokesperson reassured citizens in general, and in the Red Sea Governorate in particular, saying, “We have good stocks of all essential supplies, and there is no need to panic regarding fuel or other essential supplies.”
