Acting Wali (governor) North Darfur Denies Existence of Extremist Groups in State
Al-Fasher, Mar. 20 (SUNA)- The Minister of Agriculture and Acting Wali (governor) of North Darfur, Adam Mohamed Hamid Al-Nahla, has denied the existence of extremist groups or terrorist organizations in the state.
During his meeting Sunday at the headquarters of the state’s government in Al-Fasher with the visiting German delegation, Al-Nahla affirmed that the deployment of the Armed Forces troops at the border area with Libya has prevented infiltration of any terrorist groups in Sudan.
He briefed the German delegation on the overall security and humanitarian situation in North Darfur State, affirming that North Darfur State is currently witnessing stability thanks to the deployment of regular forces and existence of prosecution offices at all localities, besides the existence of the Special Court for Crimes in Darfur.
The Deputy Wali (governor) has expressed his appreciation of the German government and people for their support to the people of Darfur during the formulation of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur.
Meanwhile, the head of the German delegation and State Minister at the Ministry of Defence has affirmed the concern of his country with peace in Darfur, affirming the concern of Germany to continue its support to peace and stability in Sudan and its African neighbor countries.
